Why Jensen

What Sets Jensen Apart in Petroleum Service

No External Supports Required

Jensen mixers are self-supporting from the tank manway flange. No tie rods, turnbuckles, bases, or external braces — by design. The IOM manual states it explicitly: "No additional supports are necessary."

Fastest Seal Repairs in the Industry

The Jensen Type F mechanical seal can be replaced in the field without removing the mixer from the tank. All parts are manufactured in-house — nothing is ever discontinued.

Made in the USA Since 1937

Engineered and manufactured in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Over 25,000 mixers in service worldwide across petroleum refineries, pipeline terminals, and crude oil storage facilities.

ATEX Certified for Hazardous Areas

Certified for use in hazardous environments including petroleum refineries, pipeline terminals, and chemical plants. Explosion-proof motor options available.

Installation Advantage

Self-Supporting from the Tank Manway

Every Jensen side entry mixer is designed to be self-supporting from the tank manway or nozzle flange. The Series 400 IOM manual states explicitly: bolt the mixer mount to the tank manway and "No additional supports are necessary." The same mounting concept applies across the Series 500, 600, 800, and 900.

The mixer's short shaft and low-overhang design allow the tank nozzle/manway flange to carry the full mixer load — motor weight, operating loads, and thrust. You will never need:

Tie rods
Turnbuckles
Slings
Floor or base supports
External structural braces
Guy wires
Note: The tank manway or nozzle itself must be structurally adequate to carry the mixer weight, motor weight, and operating loads. For thin-wall tanks or field-added nozzles, the tank fabricator should verify that the nozzle and surrounding shell reinforcement are adequate before installation.
Safety Systems

Petroleum-Grade Safety & Leak Prevention

Jensen offers a range of seal monitoring and leak prevention systems engineered specifically for petroleum service — from simple visual indicators to zero-leak containment systems.

Petro-Block Safety System

Prevents tank contents from reaching the motor in the event of a seal failure. Standard on Series 800/900.
