Jensen side entry propeller mixers have been the standard for petroleum storage, blending, and tank cleaning since 1937. From crude oil storage to pipeline terminals and asphalt plants — there's a Jensen mixer for every petroleum application.
Jensen mixers are engineered for the full range of petroleum storage and processing applications. Select your application below to find the right mixer and learn more.
Prevent BS&W stratification, maintain uniform gravity, and eliminate sediment build-up in crude oil storage. The Vari-Angle option provides complete tank cleaning without manual mucking.
Maintain uniform temperature and viscosity in No. 6 fuel oil and bunker tanks. Prevent surface crusting and solidification. Over 15,000 Vari-Angle units in service on fuel oil tanks worldwide.
Blend refined petroleum products to uniform gravity, viscosity, and temperature for accurate custody transfer sampling. The Series 600 with Pitch-Adjusted propeller is the preferred choice for refined product tanks.
Maintain uniform temperature and prevent polymer separation in asphalt cement, polymer-modified asphalt, roofing asphalt, and bitumen storage tanks. Double mechanical seal standard.
Four mixer series cover the full range of petroleum storage tank sizes and service conditions. All are self-supporting from the tank manway — no external supports required.

Jensen mixers are self-supporting from the tank manway flange. No tie rods, turnbuckles, bases, or external braces — by design. The IOM manual states it explicitly: "No additional supports are necessary."
The Jensen Type F mechanical seal can be replaced in the field without removing the mixer from the tank. All parts are manufactured in-house — nothing is ever discontinued.
Engineered and manufactured in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Over 25,000 mixers in service worldwide across petroleum refineries, pipeline terminals, and crude oil storage facilities.
Certified for use in hazardous environments including petroleum refineries, pipeline terminals, and chemical plants. Explosion-proof motor options available.
Every Jensen side entry mixer is designed to be self-supporting from the tank manway or nozzle flange. The Series 400 IOM manual states explicitly: bolt the mixer mount to the tank manway and "No additional supports are necessary." The same mounting concept applies across the Series 500, 600, 800, and 900.
The mixer's short shaft and low-overhang design allow the tank nozzle/manway flange to carry the full mixer load — motor weight, operating loads, and thrust. You will never need:
