The Jensen 600 First Watch System is an early-warning seal monitoring solution designed specifically for Jensen Series 600 petroleum mixers. Unlike reactive maintenance approaches that only identify a problem after product has already escaped, the First Watch System gives your operators advance notice of seal degradation — allowing you to schedule maintenance on your terms.
The system monitors the mechanical seal chamber continuously. When the seal begins to fail, the First Watch indicator registers the change immediately, giving your team time to respond before any environmental release occurs. The passive design requires no power source and integrates seamlessly with existing plant monitoring infrastructure.
Available as standard equipment on new Series 600 units or as a retrofit for existing installations, the First Watch System is a straightforward upgrade that pays for itself the first time it prevents an unplanned shutdown or a reportable spill.
How It Works
Continuous Monitoring
The First Watch System continuously monitors the mechanical seal chamber on your Series 600 mixer. A sealed indicator tube tracks fluid levels in the seal cavity at all times.

When the mechanical seal begins to fail, product migrates into the seal chamber. The First Watch indicator immediately registers the change — long before any external leak occurs.
Alert & Respond
The visual indicator flags the condition for your operators during routine rounds. Optional remote alarm outputs allow integration with plant control systems for automated notification.
